Roasting

Roasting

We roast our coffee using a Probat L25 drum machine. Why? The reason is simple. The L25 maintains a consistent roast while allowing us to adjust the air flow, temperature and pressure to create ideal gourmet blends.

Our coffee is roasted moderately dark. Roasting in this manner reduces the acidity allowing flavor and body to be highlighted in the cup.

Leadership in freshness

Atlas Power Coffee sets the standard in fresh coffee by being the first company in New Zealand to stamp the “Roasted On” date on every bag of coffee. This information is your benchmark for freshness: all coffee begins to age from the moment it is roasted. In fact the “Roasted On” date is your only guarantee that the coffee you purchase is fresh, providing the best in taste and flavour.

Classic

Classic

The classic or original house blend is historically our most popular coffee. It consists of South American, Central American and African coffees. The result is a mildly acidic, full-bodied, clean espresso with chocolate and hazelnut notes.

Tesoro

Tesoro

Tesoro is our favourite espresso blend. It is a composition of South American, Central American and Indonesian coffees. This espresso blend is powerful, full-bodied and complex with a sweet earthy finish.

Kirchhoff

Kirchhoff

You're searching for an exotic blend? Then Kirchhoff should be your first choice. Kirchhoff is made up of a South American coffee mixed with Central American, African and Indonesian coffees. The effect is a slightly acidic, clean and sweet espresso yet full bodied and complex with flowery and fruity notes.

Decaffeinated

At Atlas Power Coffee we use Swiss Water® Process decaffeinated coffee beans. This decaffeination procedure is chemical free using nothing more than water and carbon filters.  As such it is environmentally friendly and supports you in your healthy lifestyle. Our decaffeinated coffee is a three bean blend offering a sweet, full-bodied and flavourful cup.
